Fuel Mileage is a Team Effort

A little while ago John, our Safety Manager, sat down with Fleet Science and discussed the importance of fuel mileage and some of the techniques we use to get the most from every gallon. It’s a promo video for Fleet Science but it shows the combination of strategies used and the consistency needed to run a successful trucking company.

As with safety, getting the best fuel mileage is a team effort. A combination of technology, oversight and strategy by management, proper maintenance, and quality drivers allows to be successful in a tough industry. It takes dedication and focus to get these results and we’re proud of the hard work by our drivers. Even a 1 mile-per-gallon drop in fuel economy can cost over $1000 per unit per month. That’s a big hit for any company truck or owner operator.
