Winter trucking is challenging. Between storms, unpredictable road surface conditions, mountains, and just the effect that the extreme cold has on the equipment – this job can kinda suck in the winter months.
It’s important to plan. Trip planning is, which includes checking weather conditions, is vital for getting there on time safely. Just as proper pre and post trip inspections are important for safe operation. Winter adds challenges and we need to do own job as pro’s with the goal of safety.
