CVSA 2024 Enforcement & Inspection Blitz Schedule
The CVSA has its 2024 schedule for its major safety enforcement initiatives. These initiatives include the International Roadcheck, Operation Safe Driver, and Brake Safety Week.
Each year the CVSA works with the trucking industry to improve road safety. Their enforcement efforts include working with Canadian and Mexican enforcement during major enforcement initiatives.
CVSA Programs in 2024
International Roadcheck May 14 – 16, 2024 – Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world, with nearly 15 trucks or buses inspected, on average, every minute across North America during a 72-hour period.
Over the three days of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) International Roadcheck 2023, during May 16-18 commercial motor vehicle inspection and enforcement initiative, CVSA-certified inspectors conducted 59,429 inspections and placed 11,270 commercial motor vehicles out of service.

Operation Safe Driver Week is scheduled for July 7 – 13, 2024 – During Operation Safe Driver Week, law enforcement personnel will be on the lookout for commercial motor vehicle drivers and passenger vehicle drivers engaging in risky driving.
Brake Safety Week August 25 – 31, 2024 – During Brake Safety Week, commercial motor vehicle inspectors conduct brake system inspections (primarily Level IV Inspections) on large trucks and buses throughout North America to identify brake-system violations.
