Pilot plans to build 10 new locations and add 500 truck parking spaces – Pilot Travel Centers LLC recently said it continues to prioritize strategic growth in 2024 with plans to add 35 travel centers and remodel more than 75 locations across its network. It is also expanding its truck maintenance network of Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J (STMP) shops.
TA announces Arkansas store with 100 truck parking spaces – The new TA truck stop is a franchised store located at 100 Fish Lake Drive in Atkins, Arkansas.
North Carolina Love’s reopens after remodel – Love’s says that the Dunn store (3948 Hodges Chapel Road) located off of I-95 at Exit 77 reopened for business with a “fresh look and upgraded services” on March 28.
B.C. to open parking facility, amenities for truckers in Surrey – Commercial longhaul truck drivers traveling through the Lower Mainland will soon have another safe, convenient place to stop and rest when the North Surrey truck parking facility opens March 28, just off Highway 17 (the South Fraser Perimeter Road).
Minnesota Adding 16 Truck Parking Spots Along Interstate 94 – Minnesota will add 16 truck parking spots at two eastbound rest areas along Interstate 94 in an $81.5 million package of projects to improve the state’s freight network and address truck parking issues.

Tennessee to add Weigh-In-Motion tech at nearly 30 sites statewide – New Weigh-In-Motion technology is coming to dozens of interstate and state routes in Tennessee within the next year.
Ontario opens truck inspection station near Thunder Bay – The Ontario government has opened a new commercial vehicle inspection station on Highway 11/17 near Thunder Bay. Located in Shuniah, the $30 million state-of-the-art facility is part of the province’s plan to improve road safety and deliver faster and better transit infrastructure in the north.
Ohio Debuts Warning Signs to Deter Rear-End Highway Crashes – Ohio is putting wrong-way driver technology to use in a new “end-of-queue” warning sign system to deter deadly rear-end crashes at 13 dangerous highway areas where traffic suddenly comes to a stop due to congestion.
