While the winter melt hasn’t quite started here in Manitoba, it has started in some areas of the United States, bring the seasonal road restrictions into action. South Dakota, Minnesota and Montana have started their spring road restrictions.

As a truck driver, it is your responsibility to be aware of the Spring Road Restrictions for the different states and provinces you will be traveling in. You are expected to abide by these restrictions and stay off roads which you are too heavy for. If you are caught traveling on roads that you shouldn’t be on you will be fined. Fines can range from a couple of hundred dollars up to a thousand dollars.
