While the Manitoba Spring Road Restrictions haven’t been put into effect just yet, it is important for truck drivers to know that different provinces and states start their restrictions at different times. States such as South Dakota, Minnesota and Montana can start their spring road restrictions as early as February.
As a truck driver it is your responsibility to be aware of the Spring Road Restrictions for the different states and provinces you will be traveling in. You are expected to abide by these restrictions and stay off roads which you are too heavy for. If you are caught traveling on roads that you shouldn’t be on you will be fined any from a couple of hundred dollars up to a thousand dollars.
